Answer a few questions to see which Incoterms® 2020 may fit your shipment. This is guidance, not legal advice.

We only use this to nudge the ranking, not to exclude terms.
Export clearance includes filings, permits, and formalities in the seller’s country. If the buyer cannot do this, EXW may be a poor fit.
For most terms, the buyer handles import duties and taxes. If the buyer cannot, DDP is often the closest match because the seller takes on import costs.
This means the seller loads the goods onto the first collecting vehicle or onto the vessel where applicable. EXW typically excludes loading.
DPU is the term that includes unloading at destination. Under DAP and DDP, unloading is usually the buyer’s job unless you agree otherwise.

Incoterms define delivery, risk transfer, and who pays for which steps. They do not define price, payment terms, title transfer, or legal remedies.
